The Different Styles of Cowboy Shooting Games
If you start talking about Cowboy shooters will be talking about any number of varieties of the sport, but most likely, you’re talking about one of the three main flavors. For those who are interested, or just get involved in cowboy shooting, let’s look at what most people do.
Cowboy Fast Draw – This is probably what most people think of when they see the Cowboy shooters. On the big and small screen, how many times have we seen two men meet in the middle of the street, and the audience duck for cover? In the movie scene usually ends with someone lying in the dust and smoke away from the gun barrel of the winner.
Fortunately for the competitors, fast draw cowboy is still concerned with the living room and shooting faster than the other guy (or GAL), but now you’re shooting at goal, but not with each other.
When the arrows are ready, light on the purpose of talking about after a random number of seconds. Quickly shoot and hit the target is the winner of this round.
Cowboy Action Shooting – In this exercise, participants set up on a stage that seemed part of the city of the Old West. You can see the salon, bank, or livery. Competitors take turns to shoot a number of goals, sometimes going out the window bank-to-door stables, etc. They needed to shoot pistols, rifles and shotguns.
Every Cowboy or Cowgirl timed from start to finish and the additional time added to their evaluation for each goal, do not miss it.
There are some differences in cowboy action shooting – some people shoot their guns Gunfighter style, one in each hand, and some people shot duelist style pistol has always fired from the same hand.
Mounted shooting – many people have seen a barrel racing horse, or on Rodeo Drive or on television, and mounted shooting can be described as a barrel Racing with weapons.
The balls are attached to positions in the arena and as the horse and rider to pass the course, the driver of fires and POPs in balloons. Fast driving is not the least of balls is the winner.
Cowboy shooting is only one of these three varieties, which used blank ammunition. Even with gaps there is enough material coming from the gun barrel, it will appear in a balloon a few feet. (Most people think the gaps are harmless, but they can be deadly.)
One thing all these cowboy shooters have in common is the costumes. Participants dressed in period clothing, typical that you can see in the late 1800’s. Firearms, all replicas (or actual Antiques) firearms were found in the Old West during this period.
In addition, all participants have their own Cowboy “Alias” and many of them have created an extensive story about “his life in the old West.”
Spectators are always welcome (high security concern at these events) and when you come for the first time you’ll think you stumbled on a time machine and went into the Old West!
